Description

We are looking for a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team in Port Washington, Wisconsin. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial aspects of construction projects while ensuring accuracy and compliance. If you have a passion for numbers and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Responsibilities:

Oversee project-related financial operations, including job costing, budgeting, and revenue tracking.

Maintain the general ledger with precise and timely entries to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Prepare and verify journal entries in alignment with accounting standards and company policies.

Conduct regular account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Analyze credit and debit transactions related to materials, subcontractors, and payroll for accuracy and compliance.

Generate detailed financial reports and present insights to leadership, supporting informed decision-making.

Perform financial analysis to identify trends, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance project profitability.

Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to provide strategic accounting support and drive organizational goals.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies throughout all financial processes.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.

Strong knowledge of project accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with CMiC software and other financial management tools.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilize financial data.

High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial operations.

Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and proactively address challenges.

Solid understanding of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
