Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization in Lewisville, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to managing financial processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and generating accurate financial reports.

Coordinate and oversee financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Supervise account reconciliation processes, addressing discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of accounting professionals, fostering efficiency and productivity within the department.

Assess and improve accounting workflows, recommending and implementing process enhancements to strengthen internal controls.

Tackle operational and accounting challenges in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless financial reporting and operational alignment.

Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.

Utilize automation tools and software to optimize accounting processes and reporting capabilities.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with accounting software, general ledger systems, and advanced spreadsheet tools; experience with automation tools is preferred.

Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting teams, fostering collaboration and growth.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills for reporting financial performance and engaging with cross-functional teams.

Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
