Microsoft's Worldwide Manufacturing & Mobility Industry Team, part of the Industry and Partner Organization, is accountable for leveraging deep industry and technical expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, customized industry solutions and services, built on a secure, integrated cloud platform, to empower our customers to digitally transform their businesses by leveraging AI. The Solutions Director, Manufacturing role, operating at a strategic level with Microsoft's top Manufacturing and Mobility customers, requires deep engagement and understanding of the Manufacturing industries and its challenges. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in the Factory and Operations Technology.?The Solutions Director will act as the industry leader with a customer focus and will strive to build relationships and become a trusted advisor?to?key?business decision-makers, helping them digitally transform their business.
The role of Solutions Director?focuses on?generating a market making strategy and owning industry relevant solutions and platform opportunities, working and selling closely with Microsoft and its partners.?This industry role delivers growth?of?Microsoft?Cloud?Services by building new relationships, uncovering opportunities, shape solutions that deliver measurable impact using Microsoft's cloud, AI, and data technologies.
The role will partner closely with the?world-wide?industry sales teams and specialist sellers to share best practices and customer references/case studies to bring Microsoft's industry digital transformation stories to life.?

Lead and orchestrate sales activities and customer engagement in partnership with account teams to deliver value, build trust, and exceed customer expectations as a strategic advisor through direct customer engagements e.g.at Microsoft Executive Briefing Center.
Develop thought leadership assets?and?best practices that can be levered by others to increase the success of the business and Microsoft.?
Collaborate with external partner ecosystem (e.g., business leaders, GSIs, ISVs) on client and partner planning and developing industry-specific strategies that add credibility and depth.
Amplify externally?/?internally thought leadership on?unique industry?perspectives and?innovations to accelerate Microsoft's?credibility?/?brand /?mindshare.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
5+ years Manufacturing Industries domain expertise
Experience in Product Engineering andunderstating of ManufacturingFactory Operations technology
Additional or preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
Eperience working in business roles at a company in the Manufacturing industries
Industry solution selling experience
Industry specific sales or consulting position within an IT Consulting company
Business development and sales skills
Market development skills.
Executive presence.
Ability to work across multiple organizations and proven track record of being able to collaborate with both partners and customers.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
