Job Summary

Responsible for routine laboratory procedures (e.g., animal care, facility cleaning, labeling, lab support basic procedures, etc.), facility/groundskeeping, and/or other administrative/IT functions, as assigned.

This is an onsite role in Ashland, OH. The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring a Sponsor Visa.

Position is open to anyone, regardless of age, who meets the educational and experience requirements as posted

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Summer Intern position:

Education: Working on Bachelor of Science degree. Prefer 2nd or 3rd year in.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative work environment

Strong organizational skills, able manage/prioritize work, and meet deadlines

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 120 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
