JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Sociology and Criminology at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites candidates to apply for up to at least one Adjunct Part-Time Teaching Positions.

The position will involve teaching courses in Criminology at the undergraduate level. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of a master's degree (Doctoral Degree preferred) in Criminology, Sociology, or a closely related field.Teaching experience is required. We welcome candidates with applied experience in a justice-related field.

Adjunct Teaching Professors normally teach at least one course per semester, and summer teaching is sometimes available. The start date for the position is August 2025. For a more detailed description of the department, please visit our website at https://sociology.la.psu.edu/.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
