The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director in various marketing, management, and operational tasks. This part-time position offers a flexible 20-hour workweek, ideal for those interested in gaining practical marketing and administrative experience while contributing to the local business community in Bluffton, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

Manage digital marketing campaigns using Constant Contact to promote events and programs.

Assist with website maintenance using WordPress, and WIX including updating content and images for the Chamber and the Center for Entrepreneurs.

Assist with planning and executing events and promotional activities for the Chamber and the Center for Entrepreneurs.

Maintain the Member Portal, including posting events, reviewing new applicant information, and assisting with member billing and bank deposits for the Chamber.

Assist with billing, handle bank deposits, and record payments when received for the Chamber.

Ensure accurate documentation of organizational activities, finances, and historic records.

Monitor and ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting and tax requirements.

Explore grant funding opportunities from state, federal and private foundations.

Research options for member benefits.

Network with area Chamber of Commerce and community development groups.

Answer phone calls and emails.

Work with the Executive Director on special projects.

Requirements:

Proficiency in QuickBooks and website management.

Prioritizes customer satisfaction and is adept at resolving conflicts and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

Efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, making informed decisions and solving problems without constant supervision.

Flexible and able to adjust communication styles to suit different personalities and situations.

Maintains a positive and approachable demeanor, even in challenging situations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
