Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Frisco, Texas. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to streamline processes while maintaining high standards of accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing and approving invoices and ensuring timely payments.

Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly categorized.

Process accounts receivable transactions, including monitoring outstanding balances and reconciling payments.

Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

Collaborate with the team to review and enhance accounting systems, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.

Assist with automation efforts to optimize accounting workflows and reduce manual processes.

Work closely with project managers to ensure financial compliance and proper approvals for transactions.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.

Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with accounting software such as Acumatica or similar platforms.

Ability to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Detail-oriented approach to maintain high standards of accuracy in financial operations.
