Entry-Level Power Distribution Engineer - Boone, NC

What You'll Do

Assist in designing overhead and underground power distribution systems

Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing

Support engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports

Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and utility partners

Conduct site visits to collect data and support construction activities

Ensure compliance with safety codes and industry standards

Use tools like AutoCAD, GIS, and power system analysis software

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license and willingness to work outdoors

Bonus Skills:

Experience in construction, solar, renewables, surveying, or utility field work

Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)

Comfort with field data software and survey equipment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
