Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Canoga Park, California. In this role, you will take ownership of critical financial processes, ensuring the accurate management of accounts receivable operations. This position plays an integral role in supporting the company's financial health and maintaining efficient cash flow.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Handle cash application activities, including the allocation of payments to appropriate accounts.

Conduct commercial collections, communicating with clients to resolve outstanding balances.

Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.

Monitor and reconcile daily cash activity to maintain accurate records.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve billing processes.

Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status for management review.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations in all accounts receivable activities.

Maintain organized documentation of transactions and communications for audit purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable operations, including billing and collections.

Proficiency in managing cash applications and reconciling financial transactions.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections processes and best practices.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools for managing receivables.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
