Description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in White Plains, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounts receivable functions, including cash applications, vendor billing, and accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, a solid grasp of financial principles, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Monitor and follow up on collections to resolve outstanding balances.

Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain up-to-date records.

Assist with journal entries and reporting during month-end close.

Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.

Requirements

Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; bachelor's degree is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, and familiarity with accounting software such as JD Edwards.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication abilities for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Ability to manage deadlines and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with receivables processing, collections, and reconciliation tasks.

Knowledge of journal entries, ledgers, and month-end closing procedures.
