Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team on a hybrid contract basis. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to contribute to accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare, and post journal entries.

Maintain and oversee accounts and records, including disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income; perform account reconciliations, research, and record corrections.

Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy; identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare intercompany billing statements and address questions from staff.

Document accounting policies and procedures used by accounting staff for reference.

Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.

Independently lead ad hoc special projects assigned by accounting management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
