Summary
This position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining general ledger integrity, and contributing to strategic financial initiatives. partners with cross-functional teams, assists with audits and budgeting efforts, and helps drive process improvements within the accounting function. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Financial Reporting and General Ledger Management
Ensure accurate financial reporting and consistent accounting processes.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Perform and review complex journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Lead and manage key components of the month-end and year-end close processes.
Support the preparation of internal financial reports and external reporting requirements.
Maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP
Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
Analyze financial results and investigate variances or anomalies.
Assist with development of annual labor rates
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis.
Compliance, Audit and Controls
Ensure the company follows current tax laws and regulations.
Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements.
Stay up to date with current accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting processes align with business operations
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related field.
4+ years of accounting or relevant experience
Understanding of GAAP
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to problem solve situations with multiple variables and offer multiple solutions.
Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in the construction industry
Public Accounting experience (w/CPA license)
Knowledge of construction specific software such as Vista Viewpoint & GCPay
Advanced knowledge of accounting software; internet applications and Microsoft excel is preferred.
Understanding of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations
Other:
Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and ability to adhere to the KA Motor Vehicle Policy.
Travel 25-75%; depending on job

Salary Range:  $65,000 to $82,000 annually, plus discretionary incentive program.
Pay is based on many factors including but not limited to education, skill, experience, training, certifications, and other business needs.
