Position Summary
The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounts payable function within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong accounting foundation and a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all payables-related activities. The AP Manager will play a key role in managing vendor relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice validation, payment execution, vendor management, and expense reporting.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP, internal policies, and corporate accounting standards.
Lead, develop, and mentor the AP team to achieve high levels of performance, accuracy, and customer service.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, procurement, operations, and other internal departments to support effective communication and issue resolution.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to Accounts Payable, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, analysis, and responses to inquiries.
Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen internal controls and increase operational efficiency.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including aging analysis, payment trends, and cash disbursement metrics.
Responsible for monthly AP disbursement budgeting and the reporting on budget vs actual variances.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory reporting requirements, including 1099 filings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience in a manufacturing or production-driven organization strongly preferred.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite; advanced Excel skills required.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 71,100.00 - 132,100.00
