This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Course Coordinator, First Year Experience.
Salary : Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours taught.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 10317)
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field OR Master's degree in related field and minimum TWO years in secondary, post-secondary or technical education setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, Master's degree in related field is preferred. Previous work experience in at least one of the following student services area in higher education: instruction, academic advising, counseling, and/or retention services. Postsecondary teaching experience.
Job Description Summary:
Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.
