Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Thunderbolt, Georgia. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic wholesale distribution company. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.

Reconcile bank accounts regularly to ensure accurate financial records.

Utilize QuickBooks and NetSuite to manage and maintain financial data.

Code invoices and ensure proper allocation to accounts.

Assist in preparing for month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Create and maintain detailed financial reports using Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.

Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and enhance accounting processes.

Provide support for audits by organizing and preparing necessary documentation.

Monitor and manage outstanding payments to maintain positive cash flow.

Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve financial issues. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and NetSuite for financial management.

Strong ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.

Experience with coding invoices and managing financial records.

Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and team members.
