Role Overview

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 to join our food service team at Deerfield, a large upscale Life Care Community located in Asheville, North Carolina. Deerfield offers several exciting dining venues including a bistro, a cafe, and dining room service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, hospitality and communication skills. Typical schedule is 10:30 am - 7:30 pm with some weekend coverage

What You'll Do

oversee mainly front of house operations of the bistro, cafe and dining rooms

successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff

deliver high quality food services for our resident dining operations

achieve company and client financial targets and goals

develop and maintain client and customer relationships

ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance

have daily interaction with residents, their families and clinical team to ensure resident satisfaction

create a positive environment

ensure Sodexo standards are met

What You Bring

have prior food service management experience ideally in restaurants, fine dining experience

have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills

can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service

are enthusiastic and confident

ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team I

prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

demonstrate working knowledge of Food Management Systems and is proficient in computer skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement -Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
