Job Description:
Your Responsibilities
The Indirect Procurement intern will be a part of Ace's Finance team and will support The Corporate Procurement Team. The intern will be supporting category managers on sourcing initiatives and gaining visibility across several key parts of the organization including IT, Supply Chain, and Marketing. This role will provide the opportunity to build internal and external stakeholder relationships across several key parts of the organization and assist in conducting project financial analysis to help Ace make key sourcing decisions. The intern will contribute to the development and review of indirect spend strategies, assist in coordinating RFP events, conduct supplier research, and participate in the contract review process. The internship will also include exposure to procurement operations, providing opportunities to support process improvements and enhance efficiency.
The ideal intern will possess the following:
· Working towards a bachelor's degree in the following area(s): Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain or related major.
· Entering Senior year of college (December 26 or May 27 grad)
· Analytical thinker- Able to review data and extract meaningful takeaways.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must have intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (eg. create a word document, create basic worksheets and formulas, create presentations)
· Ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to contribute as an effective team member
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed
· Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation
· Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday for 12 weeks

Location Description
Ace Hardware corporate headquarters is about 20 miles west of Chicago and you'll get the very best of city and suburban life - prestigious shopping, dining, recreation, performing arts and historical neighborhoods. Our brand new corporate facility opened in September 2023 and has state of the amenities such as a work-out facility, underground parking and upscale cafeteria. We work in the office the majority of the week and enjoy everything our new facility has to offer together as a team.
