Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. This is a contract to hire position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will assist in managing accounts receivable and payable, handle general office tasks, and ensure accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in tracking and following up on past due invoices to maintain timely payments.

Enter, review, and code invoices accurately in the accounting system.

Support general office operations, including filing, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.

Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records for reporting purposes.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Utilize QuickBooks for accounting functions and data management.

Provide support for audits and financial reviews as needed.

Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Strong skills in coding and reviewing invoices.

High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
