C.H Robinson is seeking a Senior Technology Project Manager for our Global Forwarding team who will be responsible for managing and leading large-scale, complex and critical technology projects/epics. The role requires excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to use domain knowledge to solve complex issues. The Senior Technology Project Manager is accountable for developing project plans, facilitating the delivery, and resolving and escalating issues appropriately.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the process of defining and documenting the scope, goals, and deliverables for complex, cross-functional technology projects, that support business objectives in collaboration with management and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional managers to provide recommendations and options for how to resource multiple complex projects including people (internal and external), hardware, and software requirements
Proactively identify risks and create a plan to mitigate and remove roadblocks
Own and lead change management activities by collaborating with stakeholders and team to build the change management plan and define change control process
Proactively identify and engage stakeholders, build effective relationships, and influence outcomes
Define and manage project budget, metrics, monitor progress, and track project status
Measure project progress and define appropriate contingency plan as needed
Handle communication across all levels of the organization
Accountable for the delivery of assigned projects to be on time, within budget, and with the defined scope and quality to ensure stakeholder expectations are met
Foster teamwork and trust- motivate team members to successful project completion
Identify process bottlenecks and make changes to improve overall productivity
May be accountable for establishing the budget
Responsible for managing, measuring and reporting on the budget. Proactively escalate any negative budget impacts appropriately
Collaborate and lead other technology PM's to manage projects
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing complex projects spanning cross-functional teams
3+ years of experience working with global technology teams developing custom solutions
Experience weighing competing priorities, managing tradeoffs and evaluating new ideas and opportunities with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities
Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience delivering projects using agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
PMP and/or CSM
Executive level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to assess audiences and adjust content, style and approach to meet their needs
Experience leading meetings, keeping focus, balancing multiple viewpoints from stakeholders and resolving conflict as necessary
A learning and growth mindset that is open to giving and receiving feedback and coaching others to do the same
Experience leading teams (directly or indirectly) to connect technology projects with business growth and value
Business and technical knowledge of systems that support logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory management
Ability to understand technical and non-technical details and bridge the knowledge gap between your business and technical teams
Results driven with an understanding of how to evaluate, deliver, and validate business value

Compensation Range
$83,500.00 - $185,400.00
