Visiting Instructor of Accounting (Part-Time - 2 Courses) Business and Economics Description Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a part-time, one-semester Visiting Instructor position in the Department of Business and Economics, starting January 1, 2026. This is a unique opportunity to step out of your professional career and share your expertise with motivated undergraduate students at a leading liberal arts college. Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States. Gustavus will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Gustavus is not an e-verify institution. Employment Type: Part-Time; Exempt (Salaried); $4,900 per 4-credit course (potential signing bonus for qualified applicants); In-Person Instruction Position Overview Teach two sections of Financial Accounting during the spring semester: This course is a foundational requirement for many of our business students. If there is mutual interest, there may be an opportunity for continued employment with flexibility in course assignments. Time Commitment: This is a part-time, in-person position for the spring semester, which ends on May 1, 2026. Courses are typically either M-W-F or T-Th. Responsibilities: Your role will go beyond the textbook. You'll use your real-world experience to bring accounting concepts to life, helping students understand the importance of financial reporting and analysis. The materials are available if preferred. Prerequisites What We're Looking For A graduate degree (MBA, MAcc, MBT, or equivalent) is preferred, but we will strongly consider candidates with significant professional experience in accounting. A current or prior professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFE) is required. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a passion for working with students.
