As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol Team in Paramus, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your visible presence, routine patrols, and exceptional customer service will contribute to an engaging experience for visitors and tenants. You will work within a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity to support a secure environment.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Mon11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Wed11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or tenants at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.

Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.

Assist with access control procedures and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Interact professionally with the public, store staff, and management to provide assistance and information as needed.

Support Allied Universal emergency response efforts, including collaborating with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when required.

What We're Looking For:

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Guard Card or license is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
