Description

Are you a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional with a passion for accuracy and organization? If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and have experience in the construction industry, this could be a great opportunity for you.

This role involves managing vendor invoicing, job costing, and payment processing with precision and efficiency. Candidates who bring construction-related experience will be especially well-suited for success.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter vendor invoices and allocate costs to appropriate jobs and commitments

Monitor and report budget overages or commitment variances

Prepare monthly aging reports for management review

Organize and process monthly check runs with proper authorization

Reconcile vendor statements to ensure expenses are recorded in the correct accounting period

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Construction industry experience is strongly preferred

Solid understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles

Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks for Contractors

High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education & Experience:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

At least 2 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a project-based or construction setting
