We are a crop farms consisting of wheat, durum, corn, soybeans, edible beans, canola, and sugar beets. Our farming season starts with planting in April and ends with corn harvest in late November and a lot of cleaning up of equipment. We have John Deere tractors and case combines. A lot of manual labor required. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, semi trucks, skid steers, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors, and sugar beet lifter. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: canola, corn, edible beans, grain sorghum, soybeans, sugar beets, wheat. Must speak and understand English.
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
