Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The main function of a warehouse worker is to receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Responsibilities

Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.

Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective local, state, or national security operations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Inventory, picking, packing, inspection, storage, receiving experience

1 year of warehouse experience

High school diploma or GED required

Fluent in reading and speaking English

Willing and able to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation

Willing and able to perform tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation

Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Work Environment

The position operates on the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 11:30pm. The work schedule includes Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with Tuesdays and Thursdays off. The role involves standing for extended periods and handling various physical tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
