Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our finance and accounting team in Timnath, Colorado. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the financial health and integrity of the organization, including assisting with general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Responsibilities:

General Ledger Maintenance: Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries and adjustments, and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts.

Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Monitor and process invoices, expense reports, vendor payments, and customer transactions. Ensure accurate coding and timely processing.

Month-End Closing: Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and reports.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation during audits.

Tax Compliance: Help prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax and other regulatory filings.

Fixed Assets: Track and reconcile fixed assets, ensuring accurate records for depreciation schedules.

Assist Management: Work alongside senior accountants and management to analyze financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

Process Improvement: Suggest methods to improve processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency in financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements

Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams.

Strong Excel skills

Proficiency in accounting software
