Responsibilities:

Supervise, delegate, and guide the accounting team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Develop and implement departmental controls, systems, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Manage the preparation and completion of major financial projects, including month-end and year-end reports, adhering to deadlines.

Ensure compliance with financial legislation and organizational policies across all accounting processes.

Analyze financial data and generate reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.

Maintain accurate financial records and oversee audits, reconciliations, and related processes.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that guide strategic decisions and objectives.

Stay updated on industry trends and financial regulations to ensure the department operates effectively.

Train and motivate accounting staff to foster growth and development within the team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

5+ years of experience in a managerial accounting role

Ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting/audit and have a CPA or CMA certification

Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial statement audits.

Strong skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial data analysis.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

High attention to detail and the ability to manage and interpret complex financial data.

Commitment to adhering to local, state, federal, and company regulations
