Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Costa Mesa, California. In this role, you will handle high-volume transactions and ensure the accurate processing of invoices and payments within a dynamic work environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone with extensive experience and a strong background in accounts payable, particularly in the manufacturing or distribution industries.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure proper documentation and payment.

Manage and execute regular check runs and electronic payments in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate coding of invoices and ensure all records are up-to-date.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address vendor-related issues.

Utilize Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems to perform accounts payable functions efficiently.

Handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing accounts payable reports.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with financial regulations. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution industries.

Proficiency with 3-way matching processes and related documentation.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.

Proven reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
