About the role
We are looking to recruit a highly organized and motivated individual to join our top performing direct-to-retail sales team as an account manager to our strategic partners. The incumbent will work with the Sales Director, to deliver on day-to-day needs, grow the businesses and advocate with other departments within the company to create new systems and strategies to help grow the businesses via the generation of sales opportunities and providing outstanding customer response to key issues of satisfaction and new product development.
This role is ideal for someone with a broad and dynamic skill set, including strong sales management, negotiation expertise, leadership capabilities, analytical acumen, and sound business judgment. A deep commitment to customer success is essential.
We're looking for someone who challenges the status quo to improve workflows and processes, and who consistently demonstrates professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct in representing Kerry. Exceptional communication skills and executive presence are a must.
Key responsibilities
How You Can Contribute to Our Success
Customer & Partner Relationships
Build strong, collaborative relationships with Walmart and Sam's Club buyers, as well as their manufacturing, product development, and sourcing teams.
Serve as a liaison between Walmart/Sam's Club and Kerry Operations to ensure accurate data for planning and forecasting.
Foster outstanding customer relationships through regular engagement, business reviews, and delivery of Kerry's value proposition.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams to deliver a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
Develop strong partnerships across direct-to-retail and cross-functional teams to support all aspects of the customer's business.
Sales & Business Execution
Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals (e.g., pipeline development, negotiation, deal closure, activation, and retention).
Apply solution and situational selling skills to address customer needs and drive growth.
Demonstrate strong business acumen and project management skills to develop creative, customer-centric solutions.
Data & Analytics
Leverage data to identify successes and opportunities, utilizing partner-specific reporting tools.
Present insights to partners and internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and drive business performance.
Operational Excellence
Maintain high attention to detail while managing multiple moving parts within the business.
Improve the customer experience by maintaining product listings, building collections, and developing merchandising strategies tailored to each partner.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned based on customer needs.
Role is based in Northwest Arkansas with 10-15% travel required.
Qualifications and skills
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in retail account management.
Proven ability to work with diverse partners, systems, and personalities.
Professional negotiation experience.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams.
Track record of achieving goals and targets.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Solution and situational selling skills.
Preferred
Experience with systems such as Retail Link, Scintilla or Prospec.
Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
Background in private brands or contract manufacturing.
The typical hiring range for this role is $123,859.00 to $213,784.00 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
