Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our hospitality client in Fort Worth, Texas, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage key financial operations while contributing to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Perform general accounting tasks, ensuring the financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Prepare monthly journal entries and assist in closing the books at the end of each accounting period.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including balance sheet accounts.

Code invoices, set up new accounts, and manage account reconciliations.

Conduct bank reconciliations monthly, verifying deposits and resolving discrepancies.

Manage accounts receivable collections and ensure customer accounts are accurately reconciled.

Oversee accounts payable processes, verifying invoice payments and assigning charges to the correct accounts.

Provide support for annual audits by compiling required documentation and account information.

Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.

Handle additional accounting duties as needed to support the department.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

7+ years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating attention to detail.

Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Proficiency in accounting software, with preference for experience in NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.

Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and month-end close processes effectively.
