We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract role in Harrison. This contract position will focus on managing the full accounts payable cycle within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Responsibilities:

Review and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and compliance with company policies.

Manage vendor records and communicate with vendors to address discrepancies and payment-related inquiries.

Process payments through various methods, including checks, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and wire transfers on a regular schedule.

Reconcile vendor statements and invoices, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Handle employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit standards, and internal company policies for all accounts payable processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company's accounting systems.

Generate and analyze reports, including aging summaries, vendor performance, and month-end close reports.

Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement and operations to streamline processes and maintain workflow efficiency.

Requirements - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable, ideally within the manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in accounting systems such as Acumatica, Oracle, or QuickBooks.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and macros.

Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations, as well as audit preparation processes.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) processes and check runs.
