We are seeking an experienced sales professional to grow BASF's presence in the CASE raw material market. As an Account Manager - Industrial Formulators, you will be focused on selling surfactants & raw materials to resin manufacturers and dispersion houses as well as bringing on new customers in this space. This position is ideal for someone that understands the CASE value chain and is familiar with selling surfactants, polymers, methane sulfonic acid, and chelates along with other key chemistries. You'll be responsible for executing contracts, building relationships within the customer base, and driving profitability for BASF.
This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the continental US, with proximity to a major airport as it requires frequent in-person visits to customers and BASF sites with an expectation of up to 50% overnight travel. Ideal candidate location would be East Coast or Midwest US.

Developing and maintaining sales relationships with CASE raw material customers
Hunting for new applications and customers in the market
Facilitating identification of new business opportunities and driving execution of contracts
Establishing multi-level relationships with customers as well as interfacing closely within the BASF organization to drive new projects and business growth
Identifying innovation needs and how BASF can fulfil those requirements. You will also continually refresh the understanding of what BASF's technical teams can do to fill these needs.
Developing and implementing a strategic growth plan for accounts that will result in a measurable increase in product sales.
If you...
Earned a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or business.
Possess 5+ years' experience in account management, sales, or related customer facing experience.
Bring Chemical Manufacturing industry experience; understanding of the CASE raw material value chain is strongly preferred.
Are a strategic thinker focused on results and have the ability to identify new business opportunities.
Possess excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
Have strong organizational skills and ability to analyze data and industry trends.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
