Job Title: Medical Assistant Front Office

Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team where your skills in managing patient records, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, and coordinating appointments will play a crucial role in delivering excellent patient care. Utilize Medent as the EMR system to maintain patient records accurately while ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.

Manage the appointment calendar, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff availability.

Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and address patient inquiries.

Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance claims.

Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.

Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Create invoices and manage patient billing.

Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care.

Order and manage medical supplies and equipment.

Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.

Essential Skills

Experience with EMR systems, particularly Medent.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Medical receptionist or front office experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with ModMed EMR system

Work Environment

This role is based primarily at the Sparta location with the possibility of visiting other sites, including Morristown, Hackettstown, Newton, and Cedar Knolls, to provide coverage as needed.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with one weekend per quarter (Saturday and Sunday), and includes one evening shift per week from 12 PM to 8 PM once trained.

The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to handle 20-40 patients a day, depending on provider rotation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
