Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide equipment repair, plumbing, and electrical support to the command. You will install and repair H.V.A.C and refrigeration systems in accordance with as-built drawings and manufacturer design specifications. You will install, connect, and repair motor condensers and evaporators. You will repair and overhaul plant components by disassembly, inspection, and replacement of defective parts. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing diagnostic test on equipment to determine problems for corrective action. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION; Ability to install, connect and repair motors, condensers, evaporators, and has the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate variable speed drive controllers and other components 440 Volts or less without supervision or assistance in accordance with design specifications. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifts from 35 to 100 pounds with the assistance of hoists, dollies, hand trucks, and cranes and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance. Position requires kneeling, crouching, stooping, bending, and climbing to perform duties. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoor and outdoor. Incumbent is subject to constant noises from motors and machinery. Incumbent is exposed to dust, dirt, grease, and extreme temperatures. Education Additional Information Several vacancies may be filled.
