Holiday, personal and vacation days.Summary/Objective: Develops and implements improvements in the manufacturing process by studying product manufacturing methods and process flows. (heavy manufacturing production floor presence)Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions:1. .Serve as Project Manager, coordinating key and/or major implementation projects. Coordinate assigned projects with Production, Quality Control, Design Engineering, Materials, Facilities, Purchasing, and Safety Depts.2. Monitor the efficiency of manufacturing operations and determine corrective action for cost savings as they relate to tooling equipment, fixtures, and labor changes. Prepare comprehensive layout schedules, flow charts, cost information, investment payback, target production dates, start-up dates, and related information for management review. Include tooling lists, manning charts, skills level requirements and related documentation required for justifications.3. Recommend proper use of machines, tools, and equipment, oversee the programming of CNC equipment, appraise technology developments, investing feasibility of new equipment and techniques, prepare accurate cost estimates for changes in manufacturing methods. Prepare capital expenditure proposals.4. In conjunction with Product Engineering, participate in the development of new or improved products, recommends and specifies new materials and/or equipment, and design the process flow.5. Supervise the design and development of machinery, equipment, jigs, and fixtures for Production and Quality Assurance test equipment.6. Prepare requisitions for equipment, tools, new facilities, refurbishment of existing facilities, utilities, and raw materials for new products systems.7. Coordinate manufacturing engineering adjustments such as engineering changes, and related deviations. Responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate technical database including tool records/specification and work center/tooling adaptions for new and revised part designs.8. Ensure that all customers, both internal and external, are treated with respect and excellence.Working Conditions:- Primarily working indoors, office environment and strong production floor presence.- Occastional heavy lifting (30 to 50 lbs.), standing, bending, and walking.- May be required to sit at computer for extended period at times.- Repetitive use of hands to operate computer
