Job Description
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm
The Operations Manager oversees daily operations at the Children's Residential Treatment Facility (RTF), ensuring program compliance, safety, and quality care. This role supervises and supports Program Supervisors, coordinates training and staff scheduling, and ensures the consistent implementation of therapeutic interventions and behavior support plans. The Operations Manager also collaborates closely with clinical staff, human resources, and external partners, maintains regulatory documentation, and ensures environmental safety and preparedness. This position is key in driving operational excellence, staff development, and positive client outcomes within the RTF setting. The Operations Manager is responsible for adherence to standards, procedures and schedules established by the Division.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervision, evaluation and training of Program Supervisors and Autism Behavior Support Specialist (ABSS)
Ensures compliance with day-to-day program operations including implementing and/or overseeing a system of safe practices, following of client's behavior support plans, securing of on-going training for crisis management, physical site safety and fire safety; inspection preparation; vehicle maintenance and other related functions
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to building operations, environment of care, staff training and credentialing
Coordinates with QI to ensure standards are met and maintained
Coordinates with Human Resources for the hiring and discipline of all personnel, including investigations of disciplinary infractions as needed
Develops and maintains staff schedules; promotes successful "pairing" of staff with client and/or client with client to ensure successful goal completion
Oversee clients' daily schedules and therapeutic activity schedules
Ensures maintenance of daily progress notes and tracking of behavioral data for the use of the Clinician consistent with treatment goal objectives
Schedules vehicles for maintenance and upkeep
Provides supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and termination
Provides backup to Program Supervisors and Autism Behavioral Support Specialists (ABSS) staff when needed to stay within required ratios and in order to meet the needs of the program
Participates in weekly supervision with the management team giving and responding to feedback to improve RTF Program Supervisor's work performance
Ensure the residence is well-maintained in compliance with health and safety standards, and that maintenance/housekeeping issues are promptly addressed or reported to the appropriate department for quick resolution.
Communicates with County Officials and MCOs as needed for operational/programmatic issues concerning clients
Completes all documentation in a timely and accuratemanner as set forth by the regulatory agency requirements and program requirements.
Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) & crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral psychology, special education or other human service-related fields
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) experience required
Three-Five years' experience working directly with special needs children/adolescents, preferably clients on the autism spectrum, in the mental health or education fields
Experience with residential services required
Demonstrated experience in data collection and implementation of behavioral protocols and treatment plans required
Two years of supervisory experience required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Successful completion of Safety-Care/Intervention training, CPR/ First Aid training, Behavior Management, Data Collection training and any other training required by the program or for specific clients' needs
Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
