DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.

Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00am - 4:30pm

Work hours after training: 1st shift 6:00am - 2:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch.

Rotating schedule with every third weekend off.

Travel and overtime as needed.

Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

No previous experience needed, training provided.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
