Description We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where attention to detail and accounting expertise are paramount. You will play a critical role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly documented.

Utilize pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel to analyze financial data efficiently.

Handle corporate tax returns, including preparing and filing sales tax and other related documents.

Reconcile accounts and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Use Abila MIP software for accounting tasks and financial reporting.

Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and organizational goals.

Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation as required. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns.

Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.

Familiarity with Abila MIP software is highly desirable.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work onsite initially, with potential for hybrid work after three months.

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and required to undergo a standard verification process.
