Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As the Lead Realty Specialist for the Real Estate Projects Acquisition team, responsible for coordinating efficient and effective accomplishment of the real estate planning and execution of major projects in support of the Caribbean District's Realty Planning and Acquisition mission. Responsibilities Serves as a Lead Realty Specialist responsible for communicating Real Estate community of practice roles and responsibilities; - coaching other Realty Specialists; and, coordinating, and facilitating the execution of work by the Real Estate Projects Acquisition team. Performs highly complicated planning and acquisition tasks necessary to provide Real Estate products, such as planning reports and real estate interests required for construction access and maintenance. Manages all funding aspects (plannings, budgeting, procurement, and monitoring) for and assures timely completion of team's realty actions to support management, including work involving project milestones and budgets. Serves as a Technical Advisor on real estate matters. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) coordinating efficient and effective accomplishment of the planning and execution of major products in support of an organization's realty planning and acquisition mission; 2) providing guidance for real estate products prepared for civil and military studies and projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. for this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
