Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Bookkeeper to join a well-established bookkeeping firm that offers a collaborative team and a low-stress work environment. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and thrives in a client-facing role.

The Bookkeeper will support multiple clients by managing daily accounting operations-including A/P, A/R, payroll, and month-end close-while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounts payable, accounts receivable/invoicing, and banking for multiple clients.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily financial transactions.

Post journal entries to balance sheet and income statement according to established routines.

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.

Conduct daily posting and downloads for bank and credit card accounts.

Process client payroll with third-party vendors and reconcile quarterly payroll filings.

Utilize and monitor third-party fintech applications.

Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, as needed.

Lead and participate in client calls, delivering exceptional customer service.

Review and manage the month-end close process.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Assist with occasional special projects and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.

2+ years of accounting experience (bookkeeping or client accounting preferred).

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Comfortable communicating with clients via phone and webcam.
