Job Title: Customer Care Specialist - Back-Up Care Team

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Customer Care Specialist to join our Back-Up Care team. This role supports employees of client companies by helping them secure alternative child care solutions when their regular arrangements fall through. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, solution-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for employees of client companies seeking back-up child care solutions.

Handle inbound calls from employees or place outbound calls to internal care networks (child care centers or in-home providers).

Assess caller needs and provide timely, appropriate care options to ensure the employee can maintain their work schedule.

Accurately document all interactions and outcomes in the CRM system.

Collaborate with internal teams through CRM notes to ensure continuity of service.

Maintain professionalism and empathy while troubleshooting care-related issues.

Support the mission of helping working families stay productive by providing reliable care solutions.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, help desk, or call center environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document phone conversations clearly and accurately.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Typing proficiency of 35 WPM and above-average data entry skills preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer functions (copy, paste, navigation).

Willingness and ability to learn new software systems.

Ability to assess caller needs and gather necessary information without relying on a scripted process.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to higher education (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
