The opportunity
Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior focused on financial analytics, you'll play a key role in that growth. Working across all industries and interacting with our clients, you'll develop your career by communicating and providing expertise around data integrity that can provide improved insight within the accounting, finance, governance, and regulatory space. It's all about understanding the business processes and data flow to provide a truly exceptional experience for our clients.
Your key responsibilities
The nature of this role means that you will be recognized as a primary day-to-day contact for our clients. That means you'll need to understand how our client's data integrity and quality allow for more reliable reporting.? You'll also develop your knowledge by learning about current issues, profession, and business developments relevant to the client's industry, so we'll look to you to build relationships and expertise with team members.?
Skills and attributes for success
Consulting with clients on data integrity, and improving data quality
Acting as a subject matter expert in advising clients to gain greater insight into their data and the value that data analytics can bring to an organization
Engaging clients and providing authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions
Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues
Understanding our clients' unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden our business relationships where possible
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor's degree and 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
Pursing a certification (PMP, CISA)
Must have working experience with ETL (Extract Transfer and Loading of data)
Experience with any of the following: statistics, and statistical modeling, operations research, linear regression, optimization, exploratory data mining and data visualization
Proven experience within the analytics domain gathering business and technical requirements, solution design, build, testing, and solution deployment
Strong technical writing skills and advanced data analytics knowledge
A deep understanding of the marketplace, as well as commonly used terminology, processes and tools
A proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleagues
The confidence to assess risk and provide well thought out solutions
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
Ideally you'll also have
A master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or related discipline
Experience with data architecture, information governance, data integration, master data management including data capture, reporting & analytics, enterprise content and knowledge management

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90,800 to $149,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $109,000 to $170,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
