Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the condition of the warehouse and facilities, managing product movement into and out of the warehouse, and assisting with loading and unloading. Your efforts will ensure the smooth operation of product shipments and inventory management, contributing to the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities
Schedule incoming product shipments and check in and stage materials upon delivery.
Assist in the safe unloading of delivered products, ensuring they are not damaged or scratched during unloading and storage.
Note any damage on shipping documents and obtain appropriate signatures.
Mark each carton received with the required information.
Monitor inventory stock levels, ensuring the availability of products needed for installation and customer orders.
Order new stock as needed, using all available information to obtain the best pricing.
Follow up and determine the final disposition of product returned from job sites in a timely manner.
Ensure no product leaves the warehouse without proper paperwork.
Pull, stage, and assist with assembly and loading of products for delivery according to delivery tickets.
Ensure products are loaded safely and promptly to avoid injury to warehouse and delivery personnel and damage to products.
Coordinate pick-up of materials with vendors, deliveries to job sites, and arrange shipping for packages as requested by other company departments.
Complete Returned Goods Authorization for products when authorized by the manufacturer.
Train team members in product handling techniques and ensure minimal or no warehouse damage of stored products.
Supervise warehouse team members, including training, coaching, development, safety procedures guidance, and performance management.
Store all products in bays in an organized, identifiable, and retrievable manner, utilizing warehouse space efficiently.
Supervise maintenance of lift trucks and grounds fencing and assist with repairs when required.
Complete cut jobs for order fulfillment.
Work closely with the flooring Operations Manager to resolve significant problems and assist with delivery and installation functions as needed.
Act as a liaison for documents to/from installers, such as certified payroll.
Assist customers and participate in weekly training and safety meetings.
Ensure the security of the warehouse and vehicles.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, shipping and receiving.
Experience with RF scanners and material handling.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and data entry.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems, packaging, order selection, picking, and packing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
