Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We're a well-established solar tracking installation company seeking a Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support large-scale ground mount solar projects across the U.S. If you're a hands-on problem solver with a passion for machinery and travel, this is your chance to work on cutting-edge solar infrastructure while exploring new locations.

Location: Nationwide Travel (U.S.)

Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

Pay: $40-$45/hr (DOE) + Daily Per Diem

What You'll Get

Your Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair hydraulic machinery (e.g., post pounders, drill rigs)

Perform electrical troubleshooting and circuit repairs

Service diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems

Conduct welding and fabrication as needed

Ensure safe, efficient operation of all equipment on solar construction sites

What We're Looking For

5+ years of heavy equipment experience (drill rig experience a plus)

Strong skills in hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and controls (CANBUS, PLC, etc.)

Valid driver's license (required upon hire)

Ability to work independently and travel frequently

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
