The purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate the agency-wide employee engagement program, advancing DCYF's goals for an engaged, inclusive, and thriving workplace. The position serves as the agency's technical expert in establishing program goals, directing initiatives, monitoring results from surveys and feedback channels, and implementing continuous improvement processes related to retention.
Responsibilities include developing engagement tools and resources, designing initiatives that strengthen agency culture and belonging, building and coordinating mentorship, fellowship and internship programs to foster employee growth and retention, and providing agency-wide guidance on employee engagement best practices.
Responsibilities also include:
Lead the development and execution of agency-wide employee engagement strategies that promote positive outcomes and culture change.
Build and sustain a culture that reflects the agency's values, fosters inclusivity, and strengthens employee connection and belonging.
Coordinate events, trainings, mentorship programs, and development opportunities for managers, supervisors, and staff. Develop and support internship and fellowship opportunities to grow future talent and enhance workforce development.
Lead, and support the Employee Experience Champions, as well as agency-wide initiatives, by providing direction, guidance, and support to successfully implement the DCYF Employee Engagement Strategic Plan.
Provide organizational development and change management consultation and facilitation, with a focus on employee retention and other emerging issues as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

4 years human relations role that includes a combination of employee engagement, employee resource groups, training and development and organizational culture initiatives. Experience must include:
Experience leading cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, using diplomatic skills to navigate diverse perspectives, and aligning stakeholders with organizational goals.
Design and implementation of surveys and assessment tools sufficient to perform needs assessments and analyze resulting in tools and resources for agencies and support for implementation and application.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set and meet short-term and long-term objectives in a large, complex organization.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge in workforce practices in change management and optimizing organizational culture.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, human services or related field.
Demonstrated experience in workforce best practices.
Extensive Human relations experience to build networks and establish relationships with diverse stakeholders to engage in partnerships.
Extensive experience multiple cross-functional projects in a public-sector environment.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
