We have an immediate need for an Accounting Manager who is eager to grow their career. Our exclusive client, a national distributor, is seeking a senior-level accountant ready to take the next step professionally. This is a high-visibility role offering direct exposure to senior management and ownership, making it an excellent stepping stone toward a Controller-level position.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the general ledger and monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of the complete month-end reporting package.

Support and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, requiring strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.

Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Assist with financial statement preparation, internal reporting, and variance analysis.

Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

6+ years of progressive accounting experience with a desire to be hands-on across all areas of the accounting function.

Strong understanding of traditional accounting manager responsibilities, including GL oversight, financial reporting, and process improvement.

Prior exposure to payroll and budgeting processes.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; public accounting experience is a plus.

Prior management experience is preferred but not required-a strong senior accountant ready to step into a leadership role will be considered.

Requirements - A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to all aspects of the accounting process.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.

Proven experience with month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Familiarity with payroll processes and procedures.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Prior experience in public accounting is a plus, though not required.

Previous management experience is preferred, but strong senior accountants looking to advance will also be considered.
