Job Summary:
Utilizing solid credit and analytical skills, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting portfolio management in the Commodity Finance business line in MUFG's Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB), for the purpose of providing continuous oversight of the Commodity Finance portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Support Portfolio Managers by:
Preparing and maintaining financial spreads, tables and projection models.
Performing credit control and portfolio management responsibilities as assigned, including analyzing the credit risk of the portfolio, and making recommendations of accurate and timely credit ratings.
Assisting in the preparation of credit review reports for adverse credits for the purpose of tracking and reporting up-to-date conditions of such credits to management.
Performing due diligence, regularly scheduled reviews and detailed credit analysis.
Attendance to bank meeting and customer calls as necessary.
Gathering, reviewing and analyzing critical account information from all available sources in order to make accurate assessments of the customer's financial condition and ability to fulfill debt obligations.
Obtain full understanding of the Bank's internal credit policies, procedures and guidelines.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field of study.
One or more years of experience in a credit and risk management capacity, formal credit training and financial modeling knowledge preferred.
Knowledge of corporate credit analysis and accounting concepts.
Verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills.
Good computer skills in Microsoft Word/Access/Excel.
Team player with intellectual curiosity; Ability to work independently and under pressure; Strong, proactive problem solving and communication skills; Proactive attitude, flexible, critical thinker.
Compensation & Benefits:
The typical base pay range for this role is $100K - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
