ThisAdministrative Program Specialistposition is primarily responsible for the handling of and accounting for state-owned property assigned to Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS), which includes all functions of the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Randolph-Sheppard Program.
The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) is a key division of Louisiana Works managing programs in workforce training, job placement, apprenticeships, and business engagement. Through collaboration with local boards, educational institutions, and industry partners, OWD aims to improve economic mobility for job seekers and ensure Louisiana employers have the skilled talent they need, contributing to the state's economic growth.

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Work in conjunction with LRS Staff and other assigned individuals to schedule delivery and/or retrieval of State equipment and property.
Travel statewide to deliver and retrieve property and equipment from LRS/Randolph Sheppard vending locations.
Maintain a safe driving record and obtain and/or maintain any required licenses/permits that may be required.
Gather facts, analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations on equipment and inventory procedures.
Practice safe handling and security of items for loading, unloading, and transportation.
Work cooperatively with Louisiana Works and Louisiana Property Assistance Agency (LPAA) Warehouse Managers to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
Manage the oversight of LRS fleet vehicles statewide to ensure compliance with State regulations.
Maintains tracking of inspection stickers, registrations, and servicing needs such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
Conduct annual inventory of all LRS property.
Other duties as assigned and travel to be conducted as needed
