Job Description:

ITW Food Equipment Group, an Illinois Tool Works Fortune 200 business, is a recognized leader among commercial food equipment worldwide. We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team, on site, in Troy, Ohio. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The selected candidate will perform diverse adjustment transactions resulting from review of customer order files and related data within Epicor and Avalara to ensure correct accounting. The individual in this role will also be cross-trained trained in cash application procedures and will be required to perform all function of the position. The candidate should possess accounting knowledge and skills to assist the Accounting Manager with ad-hoc projects. Will require frequent contact with both internal and external personnel along with customer contact that will require professionalism, courtesy, and tact. The position requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. They will be a self-starter capable of independent work and possess attention to detail, focusing on accuracy.

Responsibilities

Process domestic invoice/order adjustments in Epicor for all supported business units.

Process domestic billings for Retail and Foodservice sales along with miscellaneous billings as required.

Review and ensure appropriate tax exemption documentation for qualified customers.

Apply customer payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Assist accounting and finance leadership team with ad-hoc projects and requests.

Excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail

Team oriented with the ability to effectively interact with co-workers, customers, sales, and product lines.

Contributes to building a positive team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

1+ years Accounting related experience

Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel

Ability to plan and coordinate projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team.

Experience with Epicor ERP and Avalara tax software is a plus

Compensation Information:

Range $24.00-$27.00

Starting salary will be based on the selected individuals' qualifications and experience.
