Job Summary
The YMCA of Greater Seattle seeks a creative, strategic, and mission-driven Senior Manager of Marketing and Communication to lead integrated marketing campaigns and communication efforts that grow awareness, drive engagement across programs and services, and inspire philanthropic support.
The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who thrives on data-informed strategy, compelling storytelling, and collaboration. This role requires skill in developing campaigns that connect audiences with purpose, an ability to manage shifting priorities, and a passion for elevating the YMCA's visibility and impact.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m . Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and evening/overnight travel may be expected.

Hiring Range: $78,000 - $81,000 annually.
Responsibilities
Ma rketing and Campaign Strategy
Develop and implement integrated , omni-channel marketing and communication plans that advance membership, program participation, community engagement, and philanthropy.
Plan, coordinate, and implement campaigns - ensuring timely deliverables, clear briefings, and active collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Develop success metrics, e valuate result s, and optimize strategies; share insights and dashboards with leaders to inform future initiatives.
Content and Storytelling
Write and edit high-quality content for print, digital, and multimedia platforms (emails, blogs, social media, annual reports, donor communications, case statements).
Partner with creative and digital teams to align messaging and visuals across materials.
Champion brand standards, ensuring consistency in tone and voice.
Build and integrate storytelling strategies that highlight community impact and donor voice.
Drive the integration of impact stories across all aspects of marketing and communication.
Collaboration and Leadership
Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders and cross-departmental staff to align messaging and amplify initiatives.
Lead client discussions, creative briefings, and project check-ins to ensure campaign effectiveness.
Provide guidance to branches and departments on communication best practices and campaign assets.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing communicatio n , or related field, or equivalent experience.
6 + years experience in developing and executing marketing plans.
2+ years experience in nonprofit donor engagement , cause marketing, or fundraising communication.
Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and storytelling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience collaborating with senior leaders, project managers, and creative teams.
Previous experience managing vendors and/or in-house staff.
Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prefer project management experience.
Data-driven mindset with ability to communicate insights clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable in PC environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with the YMCA , other youth-serving organizations, and/or other non-profit organizations
Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.) .
Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful .
