GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Come join our team and our mission in Lander, WY! The Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our team of professionals.
WLRC has an Intermediate Care Facility and a newly constructed Skilled Nursing Facility - the first of its kind in the nation! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Assist with all operations and processes of the Warehouse to include, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, ordering, and distributing items.
Compile and provide shipping and receiving documents to the accounting office for payment.
Generate receiving reports and communicate any disputes, returns, or damaged items with Purchasing and Accounting.
Communicate with vendors to reconcile discrepancies, shortages and shipping delays.
Review, fill and distribute supply orders, as needed.
Assist with moving equipment and furnishings for residents and staff.
Perform physical inventory counts for Warehouse items.
Assist in compiling and maintaining fixed asset inventories.
Evaluate and perform procedures for equipment and fixed asset disposal.
Assist with coordinating the storage of facility items and residents' personal items. Maintain an inventory of these items and ensure that items are secure.
Assist with inspections and OSHA safety requirements compliance for the Warehouse and delivery processes.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, or Warehouse operations.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of warehouse procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of concepts and methods of purchasing and inventory control.
Ability to evaluate needs and estimate future supply inventories.
Skills in computer usage, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to communicate in a positive manner with staff, residents, vendors, and the public and the ability to establish good interpersonal relationships.
Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and motor vehicles.
Knowledge of federal, state and facility policies and procedures.
Ability to work with residents, including those who may display challenging behaviors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience Substitution:
1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Purchasing or Inventory)
OR
Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Finance)
Experience:
No prior experience required

Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift and move heavy items.
Must be able to work in a variety of locations and on a variety of surfaces.
Must be able to climb ladders, stand and walk for long periods, twist, bend, lift, push, pull, squat and kneel.
